Doesn't do you much good outside of free battles in competitive play, though. Just about every game mode with rules bans Mewtwo and his ilk. And even more important than that, every game mode except free battle keeps you from using more than one Pokemon with the same Pokedex #. |
Hacked Pokemon have a scrabbled ID# associated with their trainer and get detected that way, they get banned irregardless of whether they have fake stats or were just faked into the game (like a Lvl.1 encounter of Dratini outside Palette Town). You can circumvent that (but will lose hacked stats/IVs) by breeding the pokemon as the offspring will be genuine.
