Some (most) of you who are insulting the new trilogy, must admit that there were outstanding moments in those films; the podrace, the battle of Geonosis, the battle over Courestcant, and episode III was certainly better, I did really enjoy those films, though of course the older ones were better

Now we just need both of them on blu-ray!!!

For me, more often than not it was the action scenes that turned me off the prequel trilogy. There were exceptions to be sure, as I quite liked the Yoda, Palpatine senate fight. But I got the feeling that most of the action scenes were developed with a younger, more A.D.D. ridden generation in mind. The NOW NOW NOW flash bang wizzery, combined with special effects that just hadn't quite caught up to realism yet (these movies actually look dated because of it) and their everything but the kitchen sink attitude didn't pull me in. It numbed my brain to it.  I put all three prequel movies on the same level as the Matrix 2 and 3.

Films that were made, not based on their own merits, but purely because of prior successes.
