It's odd that. Globally it's 360 owners that appear to be jumping over quickest (even in the US, relative to install bases), which makes sense when considering all the factors that will play into that, but the UK is the only major exception. I wonder why?

How do you know this?  Please dont say because Sony said so...

VGC mostly, but I've recently started compiling a list of shipments from publishers (by platform) to get a better understanding of things.

Even accounting for VGCs standard margin of error, the PS3's software sales in the last year are quite a lot ahead of the 360's. I personally think the gap is smaller than VGC suggests (i think both are under tracked for software, but the 360 more), but i'd say the base statement of "PS3 > 360" is more likely than not.

It's not like it's a particularly surprising trend either. The 360 has both been on the market for longer and had a slightly better tie ratio in that time. I'm sure the 360's poor exclusive AAA support in recent years also plays a part, but i wouldn't credit it as a particularly significant one.

The UK also appears to be the odd one out in VGCs data (by a similar degree it's worth noting).

You don't have to agree, that's simply what the data I've looked at appears to be implying. It's not fact, just what seems to be the most probable. Hence i said 360 owners "appear" to be jumping over quickest.
