Stop writing in bold.
The only way for Nintendo to turn the Wii U disaster around is to release a new console in November 2015 without the "Wii" name. Just in time for all the big 1st party games planned for next year to be finished. Prepare two versions of them, one for Wii U (so that people don't complain they don't get what was promised) and a HD version for the new console. Port older Wii U games as well - MK8, 2D, 3D Mario, DK: TF, Pikmin, Zelda: WW - that coupled with what N has in store for next year (Zelda, etc.) would make for a mindblowing launch period.
The console obviously has to be more powerful than the PS4, but that shouldn't be hard being 2 years younger. It would get the ultimate versions of multiplats now and people (consumers and developers) would react to this. Imagine Christmas 2015 with all these 1st party games and all 3rd party exclusives finally at 1080p@60fps and with highest details. The controler? A Classic Pro Controler bundled with the console, Gamepad and Wiimote compatibility, these two sold as accessory (the units sold thus far obvoiusly work with the console).
They would also have to finally update the e-shop. Create an account system, put all NES, SNES, N64, GCN and Wii games on it.
This is the only way for Nintendo to bounce back in home console business. Wii U will reach its peak year in 2015 and will most probably die shortly after either way. Better to kill it before it kills you. There is no way to turn this console into a success. The faster N reacts, the better for them.
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
