Okay, if I believed I was a monkey, i would not be able to get surgery to provide me a tail and alter the shape of my hands and help grow body hair. If I believed I was Napolean, i would not be able to get surgery to reduce my height, nor funding to re-establish the french as a world recognized military force.

Yet if I believe I'm not a man, but am instead a woman, I'm not crazy, but have a medical condition of which the treatment is to alter my body...

I'm sorry, I just don't understand why someone feels the need to change their body, especially in today's society which is constantly pushing that men and women are no different. Obviously there are physical differences, but we have long since smashed the idea that there is some sort of emotional and mental standard that men and women are restricted to.

This feels more to me like a "grass is greener on teh other side" issue. Women think Men get all the breaks and stuff, Men think Women get all the breaks, etc. Rather than deal with their own issues, they want to change their gender. That might not be the conscious decision on their part, but personally, instead of saying they should alter their body, they should get some therapy to say "Hey, you can BE a man/woman and still be femenine/masculine. So society is going to perceive you a little different, BIG DEAL. OVERCOME that perception."

Meh, whatever, but in general, yeah, if you've got ovaries and can get pregnant, you're not a man. I don't care if you have a penis, or how much testosterone you have. It's been pretty well established that being male is established based on the presence of a Y chromosome, and being a man is based solely on that. I don't care if there are people that say "You're not a man/woman if you don't 'xyz'" they're full of shit.
