Pretty much this. Sure, some people believe that the Dreamcast is the best console ever, and that's their opinion. But if it were, it would've had more than Shenmue and a couple of other games to justify it. Also, if it were the best, it wouldn't have gotten discontinued after lackluster sales against a weaker console like the PS2. That's just my opinion.
If people cherish the Dreamcast so much, they must let its name live with good memories. A Dreamcast 2 at this time would only add uncertainty. "What games will be released for it?" "Will it have 3rd party support like the PS4?" "Which studios will make exclusives for it?" "Does Sega have the kind of money to make a competent hardware?" "At which audience will the console be marketed at?" "Does Sega have what it takes to compete with the big names like Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo?" "Is this market big and stable enough for a fourth console?" I'm not hating on the Dreamcast or any of its fans. Its just that a powerful Dreamcast 2 for a niche market would only destroy Sega.
