So..............brushing aside the obvious elephant would be favorable because some people (no clue who and what you're referring to)
have shown a different stance on some other thing?
This logic should be avoided. why bring random gripes from past arguments that are probably unrelated into something?
Personally I think the userbase issue here is too obvious to ignore.
