Football Manager 2015 will feature Twitch integration

Comments1

When Football Manager 2015 arrives in November it will have a big blue button somewhere that will immediately broadcast your capabilities as a football manager all over the internet, available to anybody who cares to look, because, as is the fashion of late, Sports Interactive's ball-and-man management game will feature full Twitch integration.

Total War: Attila revealed - where Winter, and Barbarians, are coming

Comments4

Total War: Attila’s main enemy is climate change. In this new standalone Total War game, Creative Assembly have built a campaign driven by an ever-lengthening winter, with each passing year seeing more territory become inhospitable to settlers, forcing factions to migrate south, fighting their way to warmer climes.

There’s a million-strong Mongol horde, too, about to mount a Barbarian Invasion, but I think climate change is the key issue.

Beta editors for Trine and Trine 2 have been released, so now you can do a bit of magic

Comment

Trine and Trine 2 are rather lovely, so much so that even a miserable chap who isn’t much of a fan of platformers, like myself, has nice things to say about them. They’ve been around for a while, and they are so often on sale and in bundles that most of you probably have copies. So good news: you can now fiddle with them thanks to the editor, which has been released  in a public beta for both games by developer Frozenbyte.

Ubisoft wants to remind people that Watch Dogs is still more successful in Europe than Destiny

Comments4

Publishers are a competitive bunch. Watch Dogs sold well, achieved mostly critical success and is now considered a major franchise by Ubisoft. And in May, the game became the fastest selling IP in both the UK and US.

But recently, Activision came out with the claim that Destiny now held that title, beating Ubisoft and Watch Dogs’ record. The French publisher wasn’t going to take that sitting down, though.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt video shows what Geralt can get up to as he hunts for monsters

Comment

The CD Projekt Red developers should be working on The Witcher 3, but it looks like they are still stuck faffing around in ruined castles. They were there over a month ago when they detailed the world of The Witcher 3, and it looks like they haven’t left. Will someone please drive over there are give them a lift home?

Until then, I guess we can watch them talking about what Geralt can get up to while he’s travelling the world, hunting down monsters.

Here's what you can expect from the PC version of Ryse: Son of Rome

Comment

On October 10th, Ryse joins Dead Rising 3 by escaping the shackles of Xbox One, launching on PC. But what’s the difference between the two versions? Yesterday, Crytek detailed exactly that.

The developer boasts that the PC edition will have improved visuals while offering greater control through customisation options, which is hardly a revelation.

Cities: Skylines looks promising and large

Comment

Cities: Skylines will be big and offline. Developer Colossal Order and publisher Paradox Interactive like to remind us of that fact, because it immediately makes it sound like an interesting alternative to SimCity, with was neither of those things.

A new trailer shows a couple of the different types of cities you’ll be able to build, from small, dirty industrial towns to verdant utopias. There was a livestream earlier this evening, as well, where the game was finally shown off, with Colossal Order’s CEO Mariina Hallikainen detailing roads, zones and basic infrastructure.

Watch both below.

Casting resurrection: World of Warcraft's getting an undelete character feature

Comment

Have you ever, in a fit of rage after an unsuccessful PvP bout in World of Warcraft, deleted your character, only to regret it later? Perhaps an angry partner, sick to the back teeth of you raiding all night long, binned your hero? If so, Blizzard feels your pain.

A new feature is being brought in with the upcoming pre-Warlords of Draenor patch that will allow you to resurrect deleted characters. There are a few caveats though.

QuakeCon's 20th anniversary convention will be kicking off in July next year

Comments1

Quakecon is almost 20, and will be celebrating it’s two decade anniversary with QuakeCon 2015 in Dallas, Texas between July 23 - July 26th. Bethesda made the announcement today, while also noting that Quakecon still can’t go to a bar and get hammered. But that’s obviously because it’s going to the wrong bars. American ones.
