You are putting your desilusions with the game in the Bungie bag... you need to face a good part of Bungie fans expected the exact game showed in Beta (me included)... and Bungie itself said the game was like the Beta with more content.
You need to realise the Destiny was never supose to be the game you wished... that is not a Bungie issue.
The game deliveries what Bungie idealized and it is huge... the possibilities to be a game receiving expansions like Destiny 1.1, Destiny 2.0, Destiny 2.1, Destiny 3.0 is real and it have the the goal to be the game to be played the whole generation.
Each new Expansion will add more and more things.
Look at my little example... Warframe... look at the game it was in v1.0 and now in v14.0... even the gameplay changed (not that Destiny needs because the gameplay is top notch).
They created a modular game in a rich and amazing universa that only will get better and better.
