And there is no reason to be surprised, it's all there in the data. The sales ratio of Destiny on PS4 to Destiny on Xb one is 1.26:1 the US LTD sales ratio of PS4:Xb1 is

... drum roll please

Ta daaaaa! 1.26:1!

Amazingly, Destiny sold exactly proportionately according to the install base of each console. If there is to be any surprise, it's the fact that it is almost exactly proportional. I think most people, including me, would have picked a higher attach rate for Xb one. That bit of data tells me that the Destiny deal Sony did with Acti had a significant effect. If the game had been marketed with no console bias at all in the advertising I reckon we'd have seen Xb one with pretty close to the same, and possibly even higher Destiny sales numbers.

Of course this is on the understanding that VGC software numbers carry a significant error, so we can't truly know the relative sales of each version, except for "a lot"

I am glad someone did the math! VGC must have purposely picked numbers that would make the ratios match. It seems to coincidental for it to happen otherwise. Either way, I agree money well spent! Xbox platforms gained to much dominance in America by owning the biggest shooter brand in CoD last gen, and they did not want similar thing happening again.

that math is not 100% correct...
