I heard the minimum specs on it were really low because of the photogrammetry method of texturing that makes it looks so good.

Can someone explain that to me? I'm just a fan of games and playing them, and have no idea how something like this works, but it seems really interesting. It reminds me of how RE4 had amazing fire effects, even compared to games today, by using a technique that's somewhat more archaic but similar.

If this technique catches on and gets a few more refinements, it seems like it would make developing gorgeous 3D indie games easier. I know I previously never thought of an indie game as very visually impressive unless it involved an artistic styling. I never would have guessed some of these screenshot were from a small indie team and a game that had such low minimum requirements to run it.
