Vena said: Uh, no. Anecdotal evidence is pointless. The general reviews, the things that people see, were not positive, so people who didn't follow the hype but who research a game (ie. the people who don't follow hype) will see those reviews. They won't see your opinion, or mine, or my friend's opinion. So the forum opinion, here or otherwise, is not out of tune with the reviewer opinion. If we want anecdotes, here's one: Friend went out and bought Destiny and X1 with the Madden bundle. His opinion? Meh. What happened? Everyone in our circle of friends said, "Oh well, wait for Halo." Does that mean that this is indicative of the world over? Obviously not. No anecdotal evidence ever is and as much as people want to throw out established review opinions, they matter more in the end. |
So you are saying @prinz_valium is wrong... I agree.
BTW word of mouth > reviews... that never changed... that is why CoD sells even with bad reviews.
PS. Your friends issues was the Xbone... not the game... my Xbones friends are having a painful task to find others guys to play because most of the gamers goes with PS4 this gen... there is a site created to find Xbone guys to Raid/Strikes... Bungie didn't help gamers in the social stuffs.
