Serenity.
I'd probably take Starwars (original trilogy) over Lord of the Rings. The rings movies were some incredibly well done epics. But put them all together and you have about 54 hours of epic battle after similar and somewhat repetative epic battle. It's the kind of thing you have to see at least once, but I couldn't imagine watching any of the Rings movies more than 2 or 3 times.
