Auto attacking sounds a lot like the auto system in FFXIII, with the possibility to do anything manually.
With the gambit system it would be really interesting. You can only do 1 command and have to set yourself in a certain position for the command to change, which would be strategically interesting as you have to set everything before the fight occurs.
