I think his choice of words was stupid, but some of you are just insane.
The combat system seems like batman games. Where the basic system is contextual and fluid and easy to play and beat on normal like Batman, and KH are. Hopefully this game will have harder modes (like Kingdom Hearts, Batman, and Lightning Returns), where it allows you to do extra things.
Though it could be like crisis core which WAS one button action pretty much.
And had pretty terrible gameplay (Though I still liked the game a lot). Type 0's and T3B had a lot better gameplay.
FFXII, and KOTOR have no button action a lot of the time as most battles you don't have to press anything, but are still really complex (though those games have 4 party members you can directly control).
