Richard Garriott's Shroud of the Avatar greenlit in short order
O, how the stars have fallen. If you paraphrase Lord British’s Wikipedia page concisely enough, you learn that “Richard Garriott built... his residence... in space”. But now the Ultima originator lives here to Earth, and has to push his game through Steam Greenlight like the rest of us.
Shroud of the Avatar spent just two days on the community service before it was accepted, however, and will be claiming a spot in Early Access in the near future.
Lords of the Fallen footage showcases mid-game boss fights and the "medieval BFG"
I came out of Dark Souls 2 excited to see what western RPG developers would glean from its idiosyncrasies. And who better placed to shave off some of its spirit than onetime Witcher producer Tomasz Gop, now at the head of his own studio and project?
As it happens, Lords of the Fallen circles very tightly around the template left by From Software, despite Gop's protests - but throws in a few punches of its own. Its latest mid-game footage shows off some juicy character specialisation and plenty of particle effects.
Emergency 5 Gets Cinematic Trailer
Deep Silver revealed today the first trailer to the rescue strategy game Emergency 5. Emergency 5 is out on November 15th exclusively for PC, and in this game the player is directing challenging rescue mission on three vast and detailed maps. In order to accomplish his/her missions, the player can use and improve a hug pool of vehicles and action forces and has to ensure that everyone is at the right place at the right time. Ex-Psygnosis Devs Release Debut Teaser Trailer For WipeOut’s Spiritual Successor
R8 Games – a team consisting of former Psygnosis members – has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming spiritual successor to WipeOut, Formula Fusion. Formula Fusion will be coming first on the PC, and this teaser trailer gives us a glimpse at the visual and gameplay treatment for it.
