I don't know if everyone's joking or not but this is not a time to be happy. We should be sad that this is necessary. Some time I feel people are desensitized to death especially when it is happening far from them to people they consider "enemies".

Being happy that action is being taken doesn't mean we're happy this is necessary.

It just feels weird to me for airstrike and happiness to be related. I think relieved would be a better emotion rather than joy. I mean even if a murdurer was shot and killed, I don't think you would feel happy.

Agree, relieved could be a more appropriate word.

Should we not see this brutal army as "enemies"?  It is not just a US thing.  This group is lawless; they kill, mutilate and steal anything they want.  It is 7 billion versus 30,000 (or however they are now) thugs.

Yeah I'm just wondering if people would be reacting differently if this group instead came out of a country not considered an "enemy". For instance, if such a group came from North Dekota, and the world decided to bomb it, I'm sure people will be reacting a little differently.
