They will be done with the WiiU by late 2016, Iwata promised support for the WiiU to the point where those who supported Nintendo and the WiiU got a good, worthwhile experience with what Nintendo can/could offer. Unless Splatoon turns out to be the second coming, they will be phasing it out by 2016 with a slow trickle of left over titles (might as well give all their developers some HD development experience) and prepping 2017 E3 reveal/release of their combined architecture.
