Not that it's going to be good.
I don't think making the party members 5 dudes, is bad, especially since there are still girls in the story that are important. JRPG's (or WRPG's in recent years) haven't really done this, and pretty much always have the same set of archetypes and gender ratio's.
The characters have to be good and that remains to be seen. The combat has always been a bit worrisome, to me. His description sort of makes it sound sort of like how Batman or sleeping dogs is (IE contextual and fluid, as opposed to Bayonetta, or DmC which is fluid but not contextual), but we'll have to see.
Also, I know Tabata doesn't write the stories. But the stories direction of his two games (Type 0 and Crisis Core) are pretty much the best delivered stories SE has done (Not including Deus Ex) in the last ten years in my opinion.
