ITT: having 2 giant bundles while the competition has nothing means the XB1 is going to lock second.
No sh*t the XB1 sold better. It just had one of the largest releases in gaming history, which was overhyped to hell and back, and the Wii U hasn't really had a new release in the West since May.
The holidays are huge, and the Wii U will likely outsell the XB1 for the season with the return of the MK8 bundle, a new Smash bundle, amiibo, fresh DLC, and a steady stream of new titles coming in on the buildup to Black Friday.
It's way too early to hand the XB1 the silver medal. For all we know, Nintendo may pull their heads from their asses and try putting out a few of those newfangled advertisements and try marketing their titles going forward.
