I am also thinking it. Plus if they market PC business like valve they have better chance than valve. Plus occassional exclusive games will keep Microsofts PC service above the competition.

How? Its not like PC gamers have to choose between Steam and Microsoft's service. They would probably get all 3rd party games on Steam and only exclusives on Microsoft's service.
