Destiny gave PS4 a whopping 300% boost, far more than XB1, (and that isn't just because it was marketed with it, it would have done it without it).

Nobody (sane) has ever disputed multiplats will give PS4 a better and bigger boost. But as you can see, a game that was marketed with PS4, has given XB1 a a significant sales boost as well.

We can take a look at Madden as well, the ball is in the other court on this one as it's XB1 that got the exclusive marketing. PS4 still outsold the XB1 counterpart, but it still boosted XB1 sales to double in the US.

Game marketed on XB1? Boosts sales
Game marketed on PS4? Boosts sales
Game generally marketed? Boosts sales.

Stop with this unfounded and stupid myth simply because you want it as a bullet point as to how XB1 won't sell well/beat WiiU this holiday.


Assassins Creed: Unity, Call of Duty: AW, Aliens, Grand Theft Auto V, Dragon Age, Far Cry, Project Cars, The Crew, Evil Within, Just Dance, Skylanders and more will shift XB1's this holiday.

Wasnt there a sale going on for xbox ones that give a free game including destiny during the week of the games launch? Im pretty sure the deal would have encouraged a lot of gamers when making a first time purchase of a current gen console (aside from carrying over their profiles). Its sales as of now are good to me but i dont think the company is happy about it, the deals and crazy offers theyve been giving in less than a year clearly proves it (great deals imo). They are really trying to win back US and UK this holidays, phil basically stressed his eagerness to win the npds this holiday, so i guess its a reason why we see the numerous xbox one deals. Its quite bad if a game you paid for exclusive marketing/content/deals sells more on the rivaling console though. In every game coming this holiday, theres a bunch of people waiting for each one to buy a console with the game, be it on PS4/X1. Also, as long as there are similar deals like the one between destinys launch for xb1, xb1 sales will always go up
