That is at least a real comparison. Destiny as a multiplatform game and Hyrule Warriors have nothing to do with one another, it is a nonsensical (and downright inflammatory) comparison. At least Hyrule Warriors vs Destiny PS4 is interesting -- a Japanese exclusive being outsold by the SKU of a Western multiplatform title on a lower install base. Be that as it may, Destiny will have to show stronger legs than Hyrule Warriors if it wants to win that fight, and while neither Warriors nor Zelda games are known for their legs, Western games are not known for their legs in Japan either. |
Well NPD does that because they compare everything on all the SKUs... but us gamers can have a little leaway and compare SKU to SKU. Unfortunately it will be an ant fight for maybe who gets to 200k LT? Probably will be decided next week, if Destiny can't pass HW by next week (9k difference is too small) then it never will, if it pass with less than let's say 40k to spare it will be a timedraining fight, if it sell more than that (quite unlikely) then I think Destiny would have certainty on the win... probably before christmas we will have a definitive answer (not that it would matter much anyway). But yes comparing Destiny PS4+PS3 to HW don't make a point since HW is also a small and new IP in Japan even using Musou+Zelda, but certainly with more legs...
