I do see the ignorance around naming to be purely a conception among gamers, actually. They think that casual gamers and non-gamers don't know the difference between Wii and Wii U, DS and 3DS, and will mistakingly buy Xenoblade "Only for New 3DS" and a regular 3DS instead of the one marked "New 3DS" instead. People aren't that stupid, but these blogger clowns who masquerade as "gaming press" sure as hell are ignorant.
Do you know the difference between Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring, and Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers? Or do you think they're both the same books with different covers? How about Coke and New Coke? Think they're the same too? Or Coke and Diet Coke?
