Much less so, and at the same time moreso. I lose money month over month just paying rent and student loans, but i've also found my more generous side in the last four years. I recently bought gifts for my cousin (she's a lawyer, the one who helped me with that problem i had with my ex-landlord last month), first buying a copy of Legend of Zelda Collection for GameCube (for her fiancee's birthday, as she was going to buy it for him instead and i wanted to thank her for helping me out), and then picked up a bottle of bitters for her wedding (fiancee is a sort of amateur-bartender type, likes to mix drinks), so more generous and more thoughtful about what i give.
So i've grown out of that, despite having a better excuse to be that cheap nowadays than back then, when i was paying for nothing.
