I don't have the same problem with batteries, but I use NiMH batteries in everything that takes AA cells. Two digital cameras, bike headlights, and a few other devices. It makes more sense over time monetarily, and you don't end up throwing so many cells into the garbage. It's good for the environment and your wallet. That being said, I've used Duracells a few times when all the NiMH cells were charging, but they seem to last around two weeks before I swap NiMHs back in. I do work during the day though, so depending on how much you play YMMV.

That's probably close enough to the truth. I'm enjoying the console, and everyone who tries it (yes, so far it's been everyone in my experience) enjoys it as well. The most negative case was actually an SCEA employee who stopped by this past Thanksgiving; this being the SF Bay area, there are people from a number of companies gaming and otherwise in the area. He picked apart the simple graphics, and the lack of limbs on the Mii characters in Wii Play seemed to distract him, but after he used the controller even he enjoyed the gameplay. For me, that's really what gaming's about.
