Perhaps a minority of them do feel that way, but I think most of them are perfectly fine with women gamers. They just don't like people trying to rock the boat and react over aggressively to anything that is seen as "attacking gaming". There is literally nothing that has been said against Anita Sarkeesian that wasn't also said against Jack Thompson, including death threats and hoping that he'd be gangraped.
