Why not simply ignore these threads then? Simply consider people who overrate hourly sales from one specific shop in one specific country idiots and focus on other, more reasonable threads.

Why does everything one doesn't like need to be banned/forbidden?

It's kinda impossible to ignore the threads, since they don't have "I'M USING AMAZON HOURLY DATA!" in the title of the thread.  Even people who use insiderp at least put that in the title.  Which is why I still don't get the complaints about those threads, as they are far and between compared to the Amazon ones and they are clearly labeled so you don't enter expecting a better source.

Hmmm, I guess you've got a point there.

When I read the OP, I felt instantly reminded of a somewhat similar situation: On one news website that I read, people would often complain about the sheer existance of certain articles, saying that the topic is too unimportant/whatever to report about, sometimes even claiming that the author had been wasting their time. I've always found those complaints ridiculous, because the title of the article made clear what it's about and thus there was no reason for them to click the article if they weren't interested.

But you're right, this really is a different situation for the reason you've pointed out. I still don't think these threads should be banned, but now I better understand why they can be annoying.
