What WiiU games? Zelda U? It's never been on par with Mario Kart and Smash in terms of pushing hardware and selling as much. Other than that, nothing they have is a hardware pusher.
WiiU will not have those legs, it barely manages 3m a year in its infancy/peak, let alone 3 years down the line.
And until it actually starts selling more than Gamecube, the bearer of proof is on you to logically give reasons as to why it'll sell the way you've suggest it will.

Well, while the fact that it sold very well in USA and quite well WW in August is definitely a good sign for XBOne, I wouldn't automatically apply the opposite to Wii U, selling bad in that same period surely can make predict better sales overall for its competitor that did a lot better, but it isn't necessarily a bad omen of unavoidable d0m3. The last week of August, with Madden, showed us that big SW launches start having very good effects on XBOne HW sales even at the end of a slow period, but we still have to see if the next big releases on Wii U will finally wake it up or if it will remain sluggish.
This said, surely Wii U needs not only more commitment from Ninty, but that Ninty show and boast that commitment with good marketing.
