On the contrary, new people sign up on the forums every day. They may not know how to change their avatar.
However...
If people are getting confused about how to do things, we don't need 500 stickies telling them how to change their pciture, create a photo album, add games to their collections...etc, we need a cleaner User Interface that makes how to do it obvious.
