Nintendo is finally getting with the program with releasing new hardware in the New 3DS to match smartphones and tablets. Now if they really wanna be successful, they should get apps that are available on many smartphones already, (besides entertaining apps) and somehow intergrate it within their portable devices, but maybe I am just being too idealistic now.

For the record, I don't think you are being bias. You are just blatantly honest. And I feel the same way about Nintendo as you do, even though I'm an Nintendo fan

Thanks. :) I'm a Nintendo fan too, which is why I criticise them, because I want them to do better.

I must confess, I'm not overly familiar with the new 3DS though, in what way does it "match smartphones and tablets"?

The New 3DS has a boosted CPU, most importantly are it's internet features.
Like the Wii U, the New 3DS supports HTML 5. The internet runs more faster/efficiently then that of the original 3DS line, quicker game downloads, and boosted CPU for bigger game worlds etc.

That is the gist of it anyway. Plus it has the NFC reader for Amiibo. The NFC reader and boosted CPU, implies to me, that the New 3DS will be somewhat more compatible with the Wii U. The 3DS had some functionality with the Wii U, but it was fairly minimal. I believe Nintendo aims to rectify that, and the compatibility will help boost interest in both platforms.


Don't forget that it has Wii like graphics too, otherwise it wouldn't be able to handle a Xenoblade Chronicles remake.
