Well ps3 sales have been inflated in Australia because of the ps3 Bravia deal. 20,000 extra ps3's or something along those lines are now in the market. Its not a bad deal as its still profitable and could potentially lead to more games sales and obviously BR sales.
In regards to the correlation between HDTV sales and ps3 sales beyond the bundle thats already been mentioned I can't really say anything for or against your point as I don't know to be honest.
