How so? It's had bad previews and the same comments being said for months.

Hype is done because of how successful it was? I think much like hype, the amount of praise it got before release wasn't high at all.

I wouldn't know about previews honestly, I never check them myself, and I can imagine many don't, especially when we are talking about the mainstream audience and the "uneducated" hype. Destiny was clearly the next big thing from the moment it was revealed, no preview would have changed that. That and big advertisement.
