Because MS had a bundle with a free copy of Madden packaged in, so common sense would be whoever was buying the One would purchase the bundle.  I'm guessing One sales must be pretty low.

Well that would still add only maybe 100-150k to the sales at most. 

You say that like its a small thing to overcome.  I mean, it would be if the PS4 had the kinda gap the 360 has on the PS3 in the US, right now.  However, the gap isn't that large.  Don't remember what it is, but I think it's less than 800K.  Though, it does continue to grow.  Of course, you still have the fact that Madden is being advertised like a One exclusive, and the One is the "official" console of the NFL currently, and enjoys even more advertising from them.
