Let's hit this with some cold hard math in a real life scenario.

Say you have a child whom you're buying Christmas gifts for

Would you rather:

Spend $400+ on a new iPad that has F2P games that have near-unlimited amount of microtransactions that go to your credit card as your child uses it.

Or $200 on a 3DS with a new Pokemon or Mario game on it.

Even though Nintendo sells 3DS games at $20-$40 each -- they are still more price competitive than Apple for the fact that their hardware is more price competitive and easier for parents to manage.

Or give child a 16GB iPod touch for $200 and set parental controls to where your child needs a password in order to make any purchases. That or get them an iPod touch and don't link it with a credit/debit card. Problem solved.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)
