That's EA. They want to make money by doing the least effort.
"Oh, that game is glitching? *yawns* We'll release a patch. But not today... TOMORROW!"
"Remember the Sims? That game we promoted the hell out of at E3? We're gonna cut some stuff because we feel like it. And you'll have to find out when you get the game and you'll like it."
When their deep pockets are starting to feel light, that's when they'll start to listen. Until then, they'll swim in their vault like Scrooge McDuck.
