That, and people arguing in obvious bad faith. A lot of feminists don't care what Zoe Quinn did or didn't do because of their need for her to be 100% innocent. It shouldn't matter to their overall cause because one bad actor in their ranks won't invalidate them or their mission unless they corrupt themselves by covering for her when they know better, but since people like to have their "us = good, them = bad" narratives intact, every negative utterance about Quinn has to be branded as misogyny.

Ditto for the actual misogynists who are suddenly all hot and bothered about the "integrity" of games "journalism" (there aren't enough scare quotes in the world for this one). They're taking a legitimate issue and using it as a fig leaf for their personal vendetta against someone they've always hated anyway, which just muddies the waters for anyone who actually does care about the subject beyond tearing down Quinn.
