For a minute I really thought they were faking it for the purpose of the reaction video. I know Zelda is not a big household name like Mario, and that the NES is nearly 30 years old, but not having general knowledge about a few old gaming terms is weird.

Aye, because at least the more popular older consoles are a part of pop culture. Maybe the Master System and definitely the Atari 7800 would elude most folks, as might the Neo Geo and T16, but NES, SNES, and Genesis should be in the cultural memory now.
