Neither of those are actually on Wii-U. (Hopefully we'll get exclusive eShop releases of them at some point, those games do have 'guilty pleasure' fans but making them large eShop titles would be waaay more in line with Nintendo's current focus.)
Besides having mostly buyers brought in by its 'ultra-must-have' (Zelda, Metroid, Fire-Emblem, and now Bayo, and Xeno) titles, I also think the presence of classic-turned-niche genres (3D platforming) as high-end titles on the Wii-U is somehow very tempting to core gamers and for some of us enough to warrant an entire console. - Not saying the PS4 won't have must have titles for core gamers, just addressing the fact that Nintendo's Wii-U playerbase this generation is likely to be the opposite of last gen. Especially since Miyamoto has decided to focus on Nintendo's brand of core gamer.
