1. We, as humans, have accomplished nothing good throughout our history when we depend on our own "englightened" mindsets and avoid the mind of God. The Roman empire that was meant to bring order? Talk about a LOT of wars a LOT of oppression and a WHOLE LOT of corruption. The Middle Ages that was supposed to make Europe civilized? Assassinations, political and religious corruption everywhere, and slavery all over the place. The Renaissance? Do I even need to comment on all the revolutions that took place around the world that killed so many people so violently? World war 1, 2, the Cold war, and now this nonstop Capitalistic west vs. crazy radical islamic mindset? Whenever we humans take initiative to change the world for the "better" we do horrible things while attempting to justify it with small gains. We never have, nor are now, nor ever will be able to "make things better" by ourselves. We need God. HE created us. HE has the best plan for us. And time and time again when humans trust God through Christ Jesus their lives change forever in a incomprehensibly wonderful way. Our actions have lead to thousands of years of war, murder, and the overall degredation of life and morals. Prayer is what we need and thankfully we have someone speaking to God on our behalf for those of us who have accepted HIM as our savior (Jesus Christ).

2. Regarding the Israel/Palestine situation. If you have read the Bible then you know Israel has been, is, and will continue to be persecuted by the world throughout it's history as a nation. If the world is anti God due to Satan's grasp on it, then of course the world will find a way to be anti God's chosen people. I suspect the only thing the devil hates almost as much as god are Israel and Christians.

1. Total bullshit. Way to cherry pick the bad. Of course humans have done tons of bad stuff (including stuff in the name of religion, Christianity included!), and this is our fault entirely, but we've done lots of good ourselves too which helps our lives, with no thanks to God:

-Eradication of many diseases, and medicine and hospitals in general.

-Education.

-Help centers.

-Convenient housing.

-Convenient form of travel (cars, planes, roadways).

-Convenient form of communication (phones, internet).

-Scientific research in general which helps know more about ourselves (sure helps with survival) and the universe around us, and may one day lead us to new frontiers.

-Various forms of entertainment which helps with the day to day grind.

We don't need non-existent beings. Faith is not a solution to any of our problems. Strong faith is what causes parents to neglect medical attention for their child while "praying the disease away", which never works, to give one example.

2. If only God was omnipotent and could shield the world from Satan! The Israel/Palestinian conflict is but one of many conflicts where innocents die (from both sides; Israel is not the "good guy" in this conflict) and your god does nothing but watch, if he actually exists.

1. The crusades, the medieval era, and the other horrible things that so called "Christians" have done in the past does not speak to what true Christianity is. Just because people claim to be Christians does not mean they are (many are cultural Christians). If someone truly accepts Christ it changes their perspective on everything and they begin a journey of leaving their past behind. Christ loved his enemies. He would not have made sexual sinners be tortured to death like they were in the medieval era. He would not have embraced the corruption of the the Catholic church in medieval/renassaince age. He would not have supported the concept of killing muslims in Crusades. Why do you think you don't see Christians defending themselves against Muslims in the middle East now days? They are just getting slaughtered everywhere (mainly in Syria, Iraq, and Egypt over the last year or two). It's because Christians, as a whole, are trying to follow Christ's lead and that includes "turning the cheek."

A lot of those "good things" that you pointed out that we have accomplished have come at the cost of some things that aren't good. Yea we've dealt with a lot of diseases but mainly if they impact us alone. You think the U.S. wouldn't help out more with some of the diseases in Africa if they were to break out in the U.S? Polio is a great example. A lot of newer technology is coming at the cost of, pretty much, slavery in middle Africa with people looking for minerals for these big corporate companies.

2. It's called prophesy. Just because God doesn't appear to be preventing attacks (in your eyes) now doesn't mean HE isn't and doesn't mean HE won't intervene eventually (look at the book of Revelation, for example). HE often let's humans make bad decisions on our own (because HE loves us and wants us to freely choose to love and follow HIM back). Think about it as a dad. Would you want to force your kids to do everything you want them to do and force them to love you and respect you as their father or would you prefer they chose to love you and chose to follow you and chose to believe that you have a better path than that of their own mind? God desires us to love HIM and HE already us. HE isn't just sitting there. HE is pleading with us to turn away from our sinful ways and turn to HIM but HE isn't going to force someone to accept Christ as their savior.
