That dig at MK8 is both senseless and unnecessary.

Really? They both came out the same day and are the biggest games on their respective platforms, in other words next gen rivals.

AZWification said: That has nothing to do with MK8 being a WiiU exclusive and Watch_Dogs being a multiplatform game obviously!

But it has everything to do with MK being one of the best-selling franchises in gaming history, while Watchdogs is just a fresh new IP. In other words, it's the challenger : do you deny the challenger the right to fight the champion? Who would have bet on Watchdogs to outsell MK8 by such a huge margin one year ago?

It's not Watchdogs's fault if MK8 isn't multiplatform either. If MK8 is that good, people will buy WiiU to play it. Half of Watchdogs sales are PS4 version btw, so still quite above MK8...

A lot of people did! Hence why the WiiU's baseline doubled from 30k to 60k!

This^

Is as if you forget that watchdogs stoped selling winthin a month unlike mariokart. The month we have here is when watchdogs reached its peak but mario kart keepted going to nearly reach it in sales.

This is watchdogs total phycal disc copys sold as of the 23rd of august. http://www.vgchartz.com/game/71547/watch-dogs/

This is mariokart http://www.vgchartz.com/game/71408/mario-kart-8/

I know watchdogs will have sold a lot of digital copys but digital is always less then physical so watchdogs total shold sit aroun 4-4.5m, while mario kart 2.58-3m. Ands that considering that its on 1/40 of the install base.

What you should be comparing to is to console exclusives like infamous second son and titanfall, that eve that they where available for much longer, at the time of this chart it almost caought up to them and now it already outsold them.
