Mario Kart 8 is so fun I can't believe some Wii U owners don't like it. They improved on Mario Kart Wii in terms of balance, and although some items can make you win a race 20-30% of they time, you really have to be a skilled racer to continually do good in the game.
My pet peeve in no battle mode stages, amongst other online features being omitted. But w/e...
