This is a question Rock_on_2008 that shouldn't have to be asked. BC is a core value of the Playstation brand - and was axed to make the PS competitive. That's why I bought a 20gb PS3. I was serious about not buying a PS unless it had full BC. Have I used the BC on my PS3? You bet. The second game I played on it was an old school PS2 title. I just got a game to review that's a PS2 game and I'll be using the PS3 to play and review it - or maybe not.
In the end, I still have my PS2 and have no plans to get rid of it. I would love to get rid of my Xbox but can't because I have a few Xbox titles I love and don't want to quit playing.
