Capcom would make a lot of sense and bring in new fans while adding capacity. But overall I think their strategy should be to pick up 3-4 skilled western developers that can make all-new IP in new genres. Gunfire games would be a great fit, or maybe they could buy id from Zenimax too, and establish "Nintendo Texas" along with Retro. Create a couple of annual, semi-annual or perpetually online with updates (eg Destiny or MK8) FPS or 3rd person adventure titles with mass appeal. Then they should fund 3-4 more 3rd party devs as they have done with B2 or Devil's third, but I would target some obscure new western titles (hopefully find the next Minecraft) and a couple JRPG's (Mistwalker especially). There should always be 6 western titles in development and 6 3rd party publishing agreements in place so that 4 non-traditional Nintendo titles are released each year to compliment Nintendo's own output. Then the system would be self-sufficient... and also very appealing to gamers. They could probably expand their capacity in this way for less than 500 million, and fresh new titles would probably have more impact than old IP. The next COD or AC or Minecraft debuting on Nintendo is much more important than chasing past glory.

Either that or buy Take2.
