If amiibo is a hit will Nintendo become more of a toy/media company?

I'm just waiting for them to start on Pokemon ones. How many different Pokemon are there..? Must be hundreds. How much are amiibos..? 11 or 12 quid each..? That's A LOT of money if someone collects them all. Only a matter of time before we see it happening.
