Why exactly does everyone need to prefer PS4 because it's slightly more powerful?

We have many reasons:

The PS4 has momentum
The PS4 has the bigger userbase advantage also known as the but my friends have it advantage
Sony has built great customer faith based on the end of the generation support when compared to Microsoft
PS4 has more games
Some people won't turn a blind eye to the  DRM fiasco even though we we did
After how soon the price dropped with the Xbox One, some people are think another price drop is right around the corner
(The downside of lowering the base console price combined with discounted bundles so soon, it appears desperate)

Why are we questioning people on their educated guesses?  After how Watchdogs played out, should we be shocked if it happens again?
