You got some stuff wrong in your rant. It seems others have already pointed that out.
Star Citizen has got $50 million in funding and it is still indie (as of yet).
My mini rant would be that am tired of these indie this and indie that. Just call them games. If they are good games, people will buy them and enjoy. This word has become almost as annoying as "hardcore gamers".
