This circle can continue, but you have yet to give any good reason why the OP shouldn't posted what he posted.

I did give a good reason: serves no purpose.

As for why I said remove remasters and old gen games and indies, largely steam available, is because when someone sits down to  measure out the worth of buying a new console (for its games) he's going to look at and judge based on the exclusive AAAs (in general I would judge the entire worth of a console on said AAA exclusives because just about everything else is available elsewhere for less, with bigger libraries already built). Remasters, indies, and old gen games aren't real movers more like conveniences, and if the number of games was even remotely important then everyone and their dog would have bought a WiiU... which obviously hasn't happened. (Would you accept this list, tomorrow, if Microsoft shovelled XBLA full with a billion games from steam?)

So what is the worth of the PS4 and X1? Their AAAs and their promise of AAAs.

That's one way to measure the worth but it's not the only way, and it's invalid to only consider one way.

Let's say 3 ways (there are more but just to make a point)

a) You value the games like you say, then you're only going to look for exclusive games.  Let's say they value PS4 the least.

b) You don't have a strong gaming PC or you prefer consoles for some reason, then you're going to look for all games even if they're on PC.

c) You don't want to invest in 7th gen games once there's a better 8th gen version available, then you're going to look at all the multiplats.  Let's say they value PS4 the most.

Considering there are people in all categories, then if you only consider one category then you are wrong.  Obviously on average people's value will not be at "a" or "c", but somewhere between "a" and "c".

As one sample, I have a gaming PC but for many games I prefer to play consoles on a big TV & sound setup, and play with friends on the console networks.  I also don't want to play PS3/X360 games anymore if I can avoid it because the experience is not as good as on PS4 in terms of resolution / framerate, online services, start up times, and the controller is also better on PS4.  So basically holding out on 7th gen until more AAAs release on 8th gen, I'd just be depriving myself of fun now without saving much in the long term.
