If they release it on the next console yes.
There is plenty enough 2D platformers on their current consoles as is, let alone another 2D Mario.
I like these games, mind you.
They just need to limit the releases of said games.
That being said, if the next New Super Mario Bros. has a larger roster of Mario characters that would be excellent. Keep the Toads intact, but include Wario, Waluigi, Peach etc.
