Do you really think Microsoft would have been able to get Bioshock, Mass Effect, Gears of War, Ninja Gaiden 2 and others if the PS3 had 60% marketshare in the US at the time ? I kinda doubt it...

 Microsoft has near-unlimited funds. I'm pretty sure they could :P
